You are now probably familiar with the Plopp stool family, the Rondo mirror or any of the other fantastic accessories and furniture from Zieta but do you know that there is a lot more to it?

The Zieta FIDU technology can be applied to form new designs in the furniture industry but also to produce ultra-light constructions of great weight bearing capacity for design and architectural elements.

FIDU, the innovative technology developped by Oskar Zieta, is the abbreviation for the German term "Freie-Innen-Druck-Umformung" – The Inner Pressure Forming.

It consists of two shapes cut from steel sheets, welded around their edges and inflated into a 3d object. The deformation of metal sheets caused by the pressure makes it very stable and so durable that it can be categorized as an ultra-light construction.

By using a very efficient production process, the method is a stark contrast to some traditional processes which can waste as much as 90% of their raw materials.

The company cooperates with the space and car industry (AUDI Mentor Prize) and keeps designing new and innovative products.
